production sucks. At least i thought it's crap when the tickets were more than $50 for the Freaks of Nature 1st show in Vegas. Not Marquee.

I got mine for $40 and I totally disagree (about the Vegas show). I thought the production was great... very Kaskade. Tons of colorful lights, some sick video visuals, and a bunch of fog blasts. All of his own songs, basically a "greatest hits" set, which gets the crowd GOING and singing along too. Girls love it especially

The thing I have to wonder is he's doing a 50+ city tour (or 40+, whatever) - does he play the same set every time? And if so, that must get REALLY boring and repetitive? I mean with rock bands and other music types there is more room for improvisation. But with a DJ, especially with visuals timed to the music, wtf are you gonna do? Play the next track.

I know with armin only, armin types the next track to his crew on a laptop so they can cue up the visuals, I wonder if Kaskade does that at least?

colorful lights, video visuals and fog blasts --> honestly i feel that was barely Avalon level. Think the lasers (if there were even any)are even better at the Avalon. His Palladium 2010 show was tons better.

Anyways, it's probably the set that made me not enjoy the night as much. I dont like all these electro mashups that Kaskade have been doing. I liked 2 years ago where if he played his songs, it has more of a deep house feeling. Yes it was a greatest hits set, but if it was kept in original form or just some kind of remix without mashup with other stuff, it would've been more enjoyable for me. His sets now are like just party music. Same with his EDC 2012 sets, everytime I see him this past year has been a huge disappointment.

I looked up his setlist for other shows and it's pretty much the same stuff.

I watched it on Youtube and the stage production seemed very bland. The lighting was kind of meh, and maybe it just didn't translate well.

Kaskade's performance felt more withdrawn to me than what he played at EDC, which I found surprising. Maybe it was because I was in and out with paying attention, but it just wasn't that captivating. It also seemed to heavily rely on pre-made bootlegs and what not, which surprised me since he had all this equipment I never saw him using on the stage.

Glad I didn't spend anything to go personally. Maybe it was better for people who were actually there.

I watched in on fuse and thought it got off to a slow-ish start but toward the middle/end was really good. The cameras at the beginning showed a bit too much of a zoomed out view where it was obvious that they were only utilizing about half of the Staples ground floor and thus it seemed a bit underwhelming, even though it was a sold out show and for whatever reason they decided not to use the whole floor.

But besides that toward the end Kaskade seemed genuinely happy and proud and playing I Remember for the encore was beautiful.

That being said, I again must express my interest - 50+ city tour - he sings the lyrics EVERY time and acts like he loves it EVERY time. That's gotta be tough. And possibly boring/fake? But whatever, I bought it. I guess that's a true DJs job - acting like you love it.

Also according to twitter he played a tech-house set at Exchange at the afterparty. Anyone have a review?

He played his hits. I enjoyed it in general. Lights and effects were nothing spectacular. He did have a lot of visual material on the screens sync'ed to the songs. 3 screens behind the stage, multiple at the center from the ceiling, and a strip of narrow ones below the 3rd level, all were showing relevant material. Did 3 encores, all with popular upbeat songs (nothing toned down), so we got the full 9:15-11. The access to the floor was limited to people with blue wristbands, not all ticket holders had got those, which resulted in about 1/3 of the floor being empty.

The Exchange set was 2 hour full of tech house, deep house, then later in the last 30min had some progressive and electro house. He barely played any of his own materials actually. A lot of people was upset at that. I had a good time since it's pretty refreshing than the usual kaskade sets.
