I think you need to take out a little bit of low end from the vocals and push them into the 'telephone' EQ area a little bit, and also tame the mid-highs in the track when the vocals are happening.
The reverb on the vocals is totally wrong, it's like the track is here, and the vocals are there. I'd be temped to use delay instead of reverb to give the vocals their space, but perhaps with a little bit of carefully chosen ambience on top, or some longer reverb for spot effects. |
Spot on. For effect, I was thinking that it might be cool to have some of the phrases repeat and gradually break down with distortion and bit reduction over the instrumental parts. Just a thought.
