Hehe well yeah

You know I started 4 uplifting tracks in the last fornight and they all turned out shite so I binned them. Strangely enough I started something this evening that i'm happy with so I'll persevere with it.

It's nothing groundbreaking, but hopefully I can continue where Tyas seems to have left off

Yeah alright I DID say hopefully

Really epic and illustrious sounds!

I am very grateful for the free DL, I would have paid for this...

aside from my comments in the other thread, the mix is just too bright. And since you are using a hybrid of real and synthetic, i would place the pads to cover more of the low end and leave the room for the one instrument you have.

and those trance swishes, don't do that. don't put birds, or other sounds like that guy at the end.

that middle part with the chord changes is weird. not the chords ,just the way the chords change. And if you are going to make it way too reverby like you do, allow more space between the notes so that there is a point to that. i found this one just a little too cliche to the point of culturally insensitive.

but ya, for the mix. get rid of those lame swooshes. don't use backwards noise. its just too scarce a mix to do it and not be in your face and annoying.

and if you plan to get into film, well you are accentuating the frequency band you really aren't supposed to be in.

This really wasn't supposed to be an exercise in film music, more a piece of music that's part of a 3 track narrative that's loosely based around some music i'd heard in certain films.

I will look into the frequency issues a bit more in the future, I've still got about 40-50 practise tracks to make before I really even look into pushing that side of what I do or go into some of the bigger library sites.

I'm ok with the swishes and reverb though, it's just part of my sound I guess and at this stage I'm happy to leave them in there just because I like them.

I like listening to Scooter too.
