You should be saving multiple versions of songs as you progress so that you can avoid this issue, in the future. It's always better to revert to something that was working than to abandon work on a song that's not finished.

And I use AKG K240 MkII's and am really happy with them. They're not the cheapest but one of the better values - and that's really what you need to go for when getting equipment. Try to go cheap with DJ gear and you'll wind up with a bunch of crap.

Well if I was to start DJ'ing, it would only be at small parties of people I know. But yeah, I'm sure it would help in some ways.

I saved a total of 8 versions of that song, but after the first one, it was already beyond repair, and I didn't want restart the track.

Fair enough, I thought that the HD 418's would be ok, I'll maybe aim for a new pair then sometime.
