Might give this a whirl.

I cant stand the GUI either.

Tbh the waves H delay is nice, but nothing amazing or unique like the Gforce Ohmzboyz delay[what ever they call it] or Timeless.

waves multi tap as far as I know is still the only delay that can be set via midi to allow for groove templates and not produce artifacts while changing tempo. I made a post searching for something to do this along time ago. in all my searching, this was the only one. Logic Delay designer can do it but you have to enter values by hand this not really able to automate any changes if the groove is different.

No argument here. H-Delay is more like a bread-n-butter delay - it's easy to use, sounds good, etc., but definitely not optimized for the wildly modulated stuff. Speaking of bad GUIs, uggh, anything OhmForce. OhmBoyz is great, but I hate looking it and it's not the easiest thing to tweak. Pfft - French people, always trying to be so extravagant.

And, briefly getting back to the SuperTap, when I want my echoes to groove, that one is second in line behind EchoBoy.

if soundtoys was 64 bit, and allowed you to import midi files so you didn't have to do it by hand as the resolution ain't so great, it would be the winner by far. It is frustrating how nobody can really nail something that you couldn't find a feature that would make it so much better.

Yes

If only somebody were developing a powerful delay unit with a straightforward GUI that was 64 bit and looked really cool.

Imagine that.

Fuck, I love that delay. I don't have it at home though so always end up using the really basic logic delay.

supertap is throwing garbage at me with gradual tempo changes in ableton

If you do an abrupt bpm change it's rock solid but if you just drag the tempo around theres noticable static, probably the best one could hope for though

yup. Damn. The last time i did this was in V8. And I had turned off dlc. Not really sure at this point.

I asked someone about this and what they do is print the delay and then time warp it so that there are no pitch artifacts but it changes with time.

anyways, i sent them an email.

they are in the works. But when the album is done, it won't be under my name.
