Drones are awesome. The more, the better. Personal opinion, of course.

That's exactly how Pakistan sees it. Except the closest thing they had to Magnotta is kind of dead and buried under the sea now.

I agree, they are really awesome. We should have as many of them as possible, and should continue replacing much of our Air Force with the technology rather than blowing billions on frivolous things like F-22s.

What's becoming objectionable are how they are being used seemingly without caution or regard for political sovereignty. There are very bad people in the world who no doubt deserve to die far more than others, but hasn't the United States done quite enough to stomp on everyone's toes? I am tired of funding it, personally. We're only fanning the flames beneath us, so to speak. Personal opinion, of course.

Where was sovereignty violated? You think that the Philippine government hasn't signed off on this at some level?

Even Pakistan, who routinely bitches and moans about drone strikes has signed off on them. Pakistan could shoot down our drones at any time, they have extremely modern versions of the F-16, as well as modern version of Chinese built Russian and domestic jets. There is nothing stopping Pakistan from flying CAP over the tribal area and shooting down our drones, most of which are not exactly stealthy. They know exactly what bases they fly out of in Afghanistan, where they cross the border, and where they leave their airspace. Pakistan just pitches a bitch fit to appease their people which are against the strikes.

You have to remember that Pakistan has fought two bloody incursions into the tribal regions in the last 10 years. Why would they not want the US to help do their job. It is simple as that.

Hell, the Yemenis authorities have even publicly said they wanted and support US drone strikes.

So give me one example where we have made a legit incursions into foreign territory with drones without approval or with some sort of actual response, because I can not find one.

Don't you reckon that's at least part of the reason why US-Pakistan relations are so strained?

After what happened in Iraq and Afghanistan, it's not like most world leaders are willing to stop the American troops at the border

Time will tell. I know the US is chummy with the Philippines, and naturally anti-terror. But can you think of any reason that we ought to be fighting villagers in remote islands that don't reek of corporate interest and moral excuses?

In any case, just because you can do something doesn't mean you ought to. It's part of being responsibleehahahaaha oh, who am I talking to.

Anyway, the US is a superpower that routinely abuses its superpowers. One of the perks to being a superpower is that the US can often choose its battles. We have been squandering this for quite some time, and don't seem to be learning anything from the inevitable blowback except how to blow harder.

I think, ultimately, the offer that Nou is waiting for is a hand job from his mother. Only reason I can think of why a virgin would want to live at home for so long.
