I'm gasing for 1 atm. Will probably be my next purchase, just a rack though.

if my workflow allowed for hardware, 2x would be my synth of choice. its so dry and full, yet warm and cold at the same time, cut through the mix like you all say and has awesome filters. much better than 3 which sounded plastic to me. dont know if thats the programming or the dacs fault but i sold the 3 quite fast even though I loved its HMI/UI, but i could get the same results with software and that workflow suits me much better. what i would love is hardware versions of Reasons instruments with preset storing in the computer/project without using oldschool midi - some native USB-stuff instead. maybe i should just have 16 computers, each running one device with its own muddy soundcard and mix the tracks with a analog mixer and analog efex. fuck yeah.

I struggled with integrating a hardware synth into my workflow for a long time
I had become so used to do everything software, automating everything and doing nothing in realtime
I used to automate my synths with CC in clips but then i just decided fuck this and start to just record the synth in realtime whilst tweaking it and now i dont even think twice about it

The best workflow imo with hardware. Use DAW like a tape machine. Then Melodyne it if you have to.

actually working with audio is really nice as you can then chop that recorded bit onto another track and mess around with, its a nice way to work even if it does require you to do a few extra things, the Resampling feature in Live is nice

diva sounds better than the nord. I honestly don't get why anyone would waste their money when they can get something analog for less. Unleoss you are getting the modular G1 or G2 which is basically every synth save the wave shapping ones all in one synth. There is no difference. except you aren't stuck with just a nord.

Show me an analog that has all of the Nord 2X's features and polyphony. After you fail at that, find the one that comes closest, then compare the costs. Then, conduct a study and demonstrate exactly how many people can actually tell digital from analog in a song...and, even more importantly, how many people even care. Are you new to this, or something?
