I don't mind paying a shitload for a physical release, which has some value, and provides the full listening ritual experience, as well as a true feeling of "owning" that track/ep/album. Digital files simply lack that soul, they're meh.

For me it depends on the quality of music. If it's a really good track 2-3 bucks isn't bad. Most tracks are in the <$1 range.

Audiojelly last time I went there had absurd pricing, most of those tracks are shit. itunes has the right idea, everything is a dollar so if you buy some shitty track you won't really regret it later on.

Beatport is far too expensive imo. they make much more off the exclusives and I would prefer to sell my tracks at a dollar, but when they're exclusive they'll sell for 2.49 per unit. I wouldn't want to impose that but its the label's decision. I wish I had more offers from people wanting to buy directly from me via paypal, I wouldn't turn it down. I guess its time for me to start up my own label for my own purposes perhaps, next year.
