There's the surname "Polak", and most results yielded by Google do refer to someone or something called "Polak" as in "John Polak" or "The Polak Imaging Centre" (which isn't a place of imaging people from Poland).

Maybe its use as a slang is not widespread enough to justify its inclusion in a codified lexicon like the one we find in the dictionary. I understand the word because "polaco" is the word for "Pole" in Portuguese... but there's the possibility this is part of "International English" (e.g. Meat187 used "complot" as a noun for quite a while, and System-J - a much competent native speaker - pointed out that it's not often used as noun by native speakers (only as a verb) even though it is listed as a noun in a few dictionaries... and it never bothered me because the verb is lacking in my native language, not the noun ).

Polak singular (female=polka), polacy plural. The correct term for Lira's poles would actually be Polonia.

It's a french word, and can by enlgish language norms of using loan words in both the foreign way, and in englishyfied ways, be used as a noun. so system-j can suck it, that guys all words and no content anyways. sorry fr sucky spelling, back spasms

I'm not going to bother you with minor details if your back hurts (what are you even doing here, go get it checked!), but I just had to point out the French word polaque would probably keep its spelling in English if it was borrowed via France.

As for System-J being "all words and no content", look, I may disagree with him every now and then as we all do, but he's far from having "no content". Perhaps you meant "no context", but the good thing about debating with him is that he's not going to let you get away with loose and vague arguments... and it's a great skill for a debater if you want to sharpen the way you think
