It's a disgrace, but don't hold your breath on the constitutional issue. Avoiding shit like this is why innocent defendants agree to plead guilty all the time.

In Finland you get away with six years for six rapes, child abuse, assault, and threats. Maybe something else also, I forgot. That's not good either.

That's nothing. In Norway, killing 70+ teenagers and bombing a government building gets you free education paid by taxes, internet access, TV access, personal gym and an entire complex just for yourself.
