I wouldn't be against some sort of international mission to secure their WMD stockpiles. Unlike Iraq its verified through and through that Syria has massive quantities of nerve and blister agents as well as the facilities to produce them.
I'd like to see a nation OTHER than USA grow some balls and take action. Why should everyone always expect USA to do something? Aren't they 13 trillion dollars in debt and sitting in China's pocket? Also, why should USA be in the position of playing global sheriff?

There were reports that the CIA had been training rebels months ago. The condemnation from Russia's wallet might be one of the only things preventing the US from joining with Turkey in a much larger effort. At least I would like to hope so. Syria's current regime needs to go, just as Iraq's did.

This is a fair question from the American tax-payer.
And I, too, would like to see more nations stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the notion of the US -as one instance of particularity- in combating the horrors that unfettered dictatorships bring upon their civilians. Yes, the incidence of corporate interests very much need to be addressed and regulated, but I am pretty sick of religious relativism and the profound inaction that groups like the UN wreak upon innocent people under the thumb of resource-driven moral sub-hegemony.

Will Syria be a far worse-off Muslim state (for Muslims and Arabs, alike) should Assad and his cadre be uninstalled?
