i'm not sure what sort financial restraints you are operating in. If you getting to watch what you love breaks the bank.., sorry ?

lol.. i just never get to use the "you mad bro" line... ha ha

it just doesn't make sense for me to have cable, dish, etc...

it's not the financial restraints either..

well i have a tv. But i don't have cable and what not. And to be honest, I just haven't used it in months for the purpose i got it to watch movies and concerts. It is a nice one too with a genelec 5.1 sysem which i rationalized that i could always use it for surround mixing. if i watch a movie, i am taking notes so i watch it in my work area, the only tv i watch , i do piano exercises so again , on a computer. And that is all i watch. Even my girlfriend watches all her tv on her laptop. Well my laptop which she annexed. I keep telling her to watch it on the system but she can't facebook and tweat as well while watching.

You could just buy the dish and get it for free. I feel like it is their onus to control where they send their signal. If they want to send it into your home, you have a moral right to do what ever the fuck you want with it include using a dish. I set it up for my dad who also on principle will not pay for it because it doesn't like people putting shit in his house. He has a lot of fucking money so i don't think he is creating an excuse.

I'm not really interested in anything on TV apart from sport and films, and the major UK channels all offer their programming free online for streaming anyway through things like the iPlayer, so if there's something I do want to check out, I can just watch it on my laptop. I haven't even done that for months, though.

i get that...i don't think i could do it. so keeping along the subject of this thread, like this previous weekend was the 1st week of the EPL season, and they had 3 games on, I could watch one and DVR the other 2 at the same time. plus i can watch it whenever since they were recorded. plus the idea of sitting and flipping the channels is awesome as well....lol

It sucks that two of the biggest leagues in the world won't be available to the majority of US viewers, especially givien the growth of popularity of football in the US.

only two teams ever really have a chance in winning in la liga in england theres about 4-5 teams that have an actual shot, which i guess makes it more exciting.

Realistically, only City, United and Chelsea have a chance of winning the title. The title race may be marginally more exciting in England, but the quality of football in La Liga is consistently better.

I think more teams in the EPL have a chance of winning the championship then La Liga, making for a more competitive and exciting league. I mean, you just shot your argument down by naming 1 more team in the EPL then La Liga who could have a chance of winning.

Regardless, this is one of many reasons why I prefer to watch Brazilian soccer.
