i am lucky enough that i get on well with the owner of a rather big club so he lets me try the new stuff when it's closed or about to open. Another thing you realise is that it sounds a lot different when the venue is empty than when is packed. Maybe i'd even consider mixing with this in mind, but the future is to mix for ipods and mp3 players since is the main listening source.
