When Rich and I saw him in Ibiza this summer, he played at like a billion BPM, some ultra-hyper silly stuff. He kinda jumped right into it too, it was pretty jarring after the previous guy (Halliwell). It was way too crazy for us and we had to go to the other room.

At first I thought it was because the younger crowd got older and can now actually get into the club but then I saw a bunch of people my age or even older wearing it. I'm not gonna hate on them because I guess it makes them happy but I must admit it looks a little silly to see a grown ass man covered in pink and rainbow beads from wrist to elbow.

I think it just seems like the candy raver thing exploded because the popularity of EDM exploded, and with that came lots of people, both casual and diehard, who felt they had to dress a certain way at these events. Sort of like how people still channel the hippie look at regular music festivals even though they had nothing to do with the hippie movement/Woodstock.

Also, neon was a very trendy color this spring/summer if you happen to pay attention to fashion. The stuff on the runways filters down to the masses... Unfortunately, in this case.
