It is a lot of money for an event that lasts a few hours in the afternoon. Then you gotta spend a shitload more money on a show that night. I dunno if I'm gonna do it...I think you get more bang for your buck doing the pool parties since it lasts a much longer time and there are many more DJs to see. On top of that, I remember reading horror stories about the boat being so packed, claustrophobic, full of douchebags, etc...and I hear the sound isn't good on top of it.
Aly and Fila would be a great time on the boat but I'm definitely having second thoughts. |
All of your reasons may be valid, but watching Fila and other guests smash it on a yacht whilst cruising around the Miami harbour does it for me. Will be epic. I'll just be getting in from one party and after it i'll be off to another. Unmissable.

Maybe those stories you've heard have been from other edm style yacht parties. I'm just saying 'cause I've done almost every 'trance' yacht party in the last few yrs & never experienced any garbage. I don't count acts like cosmic gate (which i've not attended in last 2yrs) in there 'cause they're pulling the kiddie crowd & even some of the douchbags off their name alone. As far as price goes, the way I see it, the higher the price the less accessible it is to a certain element...trash.
Pool parties are a complete clusterf*ck. Those douchebags you speak of, they are rammed in there shoulder to shoulder & half naked, roided the f*ck out, drunk, rolling (or at-least faking it) & looking for fights to get into to impress the barbies. Not to mention the Dj's are usually trashed as well (big thumbs down).
Only thing I wish yacht parties could throw in to sweeten the deal is comp drinks or beer, at-least in limited quantity or per voucher. But we all know it's Miami Rape Week so slim chance of that ever happening lol

Yeah man it wasn't expensive at all. I was very surprised at how cheap the beers etc were. Roll on March

If true, gonna go for sure. Perfect set of trance DJs for a cruise like that...such a departure from the Cosmic Gate shit from last year (thankfully). I imagine this show will pack a lot of energy on that boat, gonna be nuts.
