except what you are hearing is not what anyone else in the club is hearing. And nobody scratches with the kick drum unless they are doing a rhythmic fill which most djs will lower the bass just to be sure. In terms of monitoring, the transients are what matter. This is pretty much universal. Regarding eqing bass, not only is it futile in a loud environment but just in terms of the physics of sound a recipe for disaster. You don't mix bass. You have one, or the other.

And a residency at some shitty college rape den isn't really a club and you aren't really a dj. I mean you could be but given your request, you obviously know fuck all. Any bass you do hear in the phones will be obfuscated by the boom which is arriving from all sides at different times making it utterly useless as a tool to mix.

Listen u guys are retarded. Scratching on a kick and dropping it on beat is something ppl do you guys are wrong I dont care how many idiots tell me otherwise. Ever hear of beat juggling? Well sometimes i drop tracks the same way when spinning hip hop. I do scratch in on the snare most of the time but scratching a kick isnt something no1 does. Your one dimensional thinking is laughable. You do eq the bass and mix it in even though its done differently than mids and highs. Totally killing the low end .makes the track sound like junk you def have to eq and mix the bass. And obviously your gonna wanna turn the bass or whole track volume down when scratching on a kick. Yes the bass in the club drounds out bass in headphones but when ur scratching you have the cue on and are cutting in and out you need to hear it.

Ur just typical close-minded, hating, know-it-all, all eggs in one basket, edm fucktards. You dont know everything. How r u supposed to learn and improve with ur head up ur ass?

that would not be scratching. Playing a kick from a record would be beat juggling at least I'm assuming you are using the kick from one record an the snare from another. if you are just scratching a kick over a track because you are bored, well call that what ever the fuck you want to call it. And djs , at least those that know what the fuck they are doing tend to either lower the bass on that channel or leave it as is. Never said kill the low end. I also think you are talking about turntables and use a digital system. I have a feeling you are rather new at this.

You just seem rather green and don't really have experience djing on a proper sound system. The fact that you think mixing bass frequencies from 2 tracks can ever sound good is pretty much a full confession that you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

And no , you don't use the bass for referencing when scratching. You use the transient of the kick which is in the 3kHz range. You know from experience how much low end to give it because even if your monitors aren't lying , you never know and when you have a huge system, doing shit with the low end is something you are rather careful with.

I use technics and when you juggle you scratch you dont just drop on beat ur mentally retarded im done talking to your dumb ass. When u juggle you usually drop both tracks on the same kick/snare not one on kick and one on snare. U are the retard here and the one who is WRONG!

And scratching any sound over another track is scratching its not called whatever i want. Theres chirping, crabbing, etc... that stuff requires skill too

What I was looking for is something full sounding as the hd's which I've had for many years just wernt suiting my needs any longer. After listening to a few sets I went for a set of A&H xd2-53 which I am really enjoying.

Why does every question have to end in abuse between members, forums are here to discuss and help each other with things like this. Everybody has different needs and just cause u like to have bit of low end in a set of headphones doesn't mean u can't fuckin dj.

Each person requires different things with every piece of equipment and that's why people buy different brands etc. yes the sennheisers are amazing headphone and thats why I have a set of hd650's and Hd700's, but for the dj side the 25's were not giving me what I wanted.

i think i was pretty clear referring to the source, not when you let the fucking platter go. The point is that you don't fucking riff on a kick drum with the bass up like you would with the typical lyrical scratching done with those more higher spectrum sources.
