Thumbs up wow

okay, i just woke up, and i gotta work soon, but i'll briefly post my take on the evening:

AMAZING!

we got there at around 10:30, huge line up, almost all the way to the start of the hill, and then it started raining. "oh, sonofa..." but they moved the line up fast, so it was pretty good. i was kinda fretting if they would let me bring in my digicam, but security was cool and gave me no prob man, there were tons of people, but we headed straight for the purple room came in with Jace playing progressive i believe: not bad, but i was waiting for the epic trance tracks to drop, so i didn't dance too much. ( THE MOTHERFUCKIN SAGA CONTINUES !! ) taking pics all the while though. sorry if i blinded some people with the flash

after Jace, Dennis Hahn came on i think. now that man fuckin rocks. nice mixing (apart from a couple skips, but it's all good) + good track selection = one happy me. at about that time i got introduced to Durafei, who is one awesome mofo! talked about how he went to ibiza , amsterdam , and all the awesome parties he hit up. damn you. DAMN YOU also, shoutout to jdjd i believe. doesn't post a lot, but nice to meet another TA

i took so many pics: filled up my 32mb card with 50 some-odd pictures, all awesome. also took a movie, but it didn't turn out too good. too dark i guess.

highlights of the nite: meeting Durafei, and when Dennis played Paul van Dyk - For an Angel HORRRE SHIRIT! that made my night right there. danced like mad, crowd screaming, looking at people who were as energetic as me... man. friggin AWESOME. then after his set was done, he came down and gave me some jube-jubes! RIGHT ON! i thanked him for playing PvD, and he said he did because i was cheering him on all night now, when you request a song, and it's played the next track, that's what i call an uber-wikkid dj! also, he played a sweet track that's in a mauro picotto set... i forget which one, and also the sensation amsterdam theme was played, too! (i believe; that's the problem with listening to sets, you know the songs, but you don't know the names of them )

got pretty tired after that though so did my friends, so we headed out probably 30 min after marshall came on. i've heard good things about him, but we wanted to go home. i'm sure i missed out though, but hopefully i can hear him spin at a PH event some time.

All in all, a highly-enjoyable night was had by all Fresh Entertainment should have more trance fridays; the purple room was jumpin, as you could see

well, that's all for now. gonna check out the pics after work. anybody pm me if they wanna see some

but i think you guys left before i got there at 1ish... you didn't miss anything from Jason Marshall... he played a bunch of classic epic trance tracks, but I wasn't too impressed with the rest of his set. I'm more pisssed i missed dennis.. Ah well... Fresh-entertainment will be back to Rev in a month... I'll drop a post...

Awesome! Got to Rev at 10, and surprisingly enough Purple Room was already pretty full ! Jace was spinning some hard trance at the time,
which was surprising considering it was only the beginning of the night. He played pretty well, but I think he should've played a bit later. Then Dennis came in. Initially I didn't like his set at all. It was more a long the lines of progressive and breaks, which I find boring. Then out of nowhere Push -Tranzy State of Mind was on, and the evening suddenly got hell of a lot better. After that he kept on spinning wicked Trance ! I requested Tiesto - Urban Train and Push - Strange world, which unfortunately he didn't have at the time. But - another surprise, Jason Marshall played both these tracks! Let me tell you guys, after not hearing Urban Train for almost a year on a good sound system, I have to say that this is the best mother fucking trance track ever ! I completely lost it. I felt like I dropped 2-3 pills, whereas in fact, I was completely sober !
I left at 2:30 when my body just couldn't take it any longer.

It was wicked meeting you Motion - you are one hell of a party guy ! Too bad you guys left so early. Did you post your pics anywhere btw?

JDJD - man.. It looked like you had a time of your life as well! Hopefully you won't take another 2 years break from Trance after this night

Waiting for the next trance night at Rev !

big shout out to Durafei and Motion, cool to meet you guys
whoa! the music was great last night
i heard alot of songs i haven't heard in a while Push Strange World in particular. JM starting playing some really wicked epic trance at the end... too bad there were only about 15 people left in the Purple Room! heheh. As long as you don't go into the big hiphop room youre alright, no joke every time i went in there i saw a fight! the crowd there is overall pretty good, alot of snobby girls (expected at a gino club), but i met quite a few nice ones too most people were cool, no attitude without reason like at alot of places.
Ya it wasnt really a true trance/progressive night like it said on the flyer, there was a lot of house, breaks and techno mixed in but its all good. oh well, you cant really expect them to play pure trance at a gino club. it took a while for the crowd to get into it, but once they did it was a really good party. most people prolly thought me crazy, now they know what its like to really get into the music!
the fact that you can't smoke inside the building is so cool, not only that, the temp. was actually pretty cool, a really good building. ill probably go back the next time they have a good trance dj.
