"Working" is subjective. Having owned a tablet with Flash on it before my iPad I can tell you most of the flash content you come across will barely work. If it requires a keyboard and a mouse it won't work at all. It's extremely buggy and an awful user experience. Plus it's a resource hog.

Apple isn't a douchebag company for trying to make their devices work well lol. Adobe could have continued Flash for Android but nobody was buying Android tablets for Flash and they wound up building their own HTML 5 development software anyway.

Exactly. Besides, it's not like all programs and websites everyone uses are going to be made in the past year, even in "2 years time". That and plenty of sites are made for desktop computers (where flash is still supported) so people will no doubt be slow to adapt. Most of youtube doesn't work on my phone which doesn't support flash. It's all very nice that it'll be gone in 2 years but that time really hasn't come yet.

I haven't run into a single instance of needing Flash on my phone or tablet in probably 2 years. The only reason the YouTube videos aren't showing up for you is because they're "blocked on mobile." This is because they're monetized and have ads on them and the uploader chose not to allow you to watch them on mobile devices. Pretty much all YouTube videos are encoded for HTML5 playback.

And "exactly" to what? Pretty much every computer, tablet and smartphone on the market is perfectly able to manage HTML5 playback... You definitely don't need to buy new hardware.

I may have been wrong about the reason that many youtube videos don't play on my phone. I didn't mean to imply that html5 isn't well supported. I can't imagine a computer/smartphone/tablet that has an OS of xp or later not supporting it or having software that allows support.
