Yes, it would, for the following reasons:

• Mods are not required to start/contribute to a thread they consider inappropriate for obvious reasons (this would make our work limited to very few instances);
  
• I can't talk on his behalf, but it he meant to protect a member of the public (even if I think he deserved no protection), deleting the thread is a wiser move. Locking it would've done nothing to prevent others from recognising him;
  
• As for Wicked Neo being a complete joke, I disagree. Being a mod is in no way easy, specially because the guidelines are loosely defined (Del has got more to do in life than draft a constitution, and we're volunteers, not professional law enforcers), and you like it or not, he has contributed for a long period as a key figure here on TA, as a next-to-admin figure.

We would only revert this decision if we talked about it among ourselves and decided to do it as a group. Although I've said over and over again that Bradd80 deserved all the mockery he could get, I believe oblivion suits him best, so I can't be bothered to talk about it with Wicked Neo. We both have better things to do.

Honestly, what a crock of shit. You can't just come in and arbitrarily delete threads. I say arbitrarily because, we - as a group - have done and said much, much worse to people around here in the past - and those threads went on for pages and pages (some to this day are still open). So don't fucking tell me he had a good reason, or even a right, to do it. There is no fucking consistency with the modding around here.

I never said there was any consistency. If worse things happened in the past, that's because we were lenient and let them slide, not because they ought to be tolerated.

And, just because we let it happened once, that doesn't mean we can't change our minds... Specially when there are so many different minds.

How can you even stay as a Mod if you haven't been around in a long while? I can't think of any other job where you decide not to come into work for over a year and then suddenly return to your desk and act like nothing ever happened. That's some serious bs.
