I just dont see the pure trance event going off. It has GO and J00F but the venue isnt known that well compared to Space and others.
Huge boost for trance this time around at more major clubs. That is the only way trance will work during WMC. I just have a feeling the Pure Trance event will be another 'Kingdom' party fail. But hopefully it wont be. |
One thing you can count on is the crowd for Pure Trance is going to be hardcore trance fans. Space will have some too, but let's be honest because its Space people will go regardless of who plays. It sucks they did this, but Pure Trance easily wins since us S. Floridians will probably never see Solarstone and JOOF here until WMC again next year. (If at all)
If you live any of the other major cities I'm seeing Kearney, Indecent Noise, and the like getting booked. Pure Trance starts at 9 and ends at 5. That's 8 hours for 4 dj's, so 2 hour sets for everyone if they split it up evenly. Of course I'm hoping Solarstone would play a 3 hour set. Can you say orgasm?
The comment about the venue is valid, the place just opened up last night and I wouldn't bet it will stay open for long. Miami is notorious for the mass murder of clubs. Look at Amnesia they lasted a whole 9 months before they closed and was sold off to make Story. The DJ booth from Club Souz is a huge led wall behind the booth and the booth itself is all led's. Space has literally no production, just shitty TV's with crappy looped videos. Not to say anything is wrong with that because I love Space and that's not an issue but yeah.

You can defend them all you want, in fact I admire you for doing so, but don't you find it a little suspect that whenever these characters change their style and sound - it's always a "coincidence" they select whatever sound happens to be "popular" that month? - John Askew
A lot of artists today are just victims, not having control, and they're not free. And that's pathetic. If you start being dependent on money, then money has to reach a point to fit your expenses. - Thomas Bangalter
