I haven't bothered unlocking my XP as there's no need to right now. I just want to up the FSB anyways, thats where the XP's need the boost anyways, not pure clockspeed alone. They're already held back by the bus anyways.
wow i never knew we had to many knowledgable hardware people on the board. Guess where im asking first if i have any hardware problems
edit: Here is something ive never understood, whats the difference between a quadro and a geforce? how much performance wise? and how can turn a geforce into a quadro?

It's pretty easy to turn a Geforce into a Quadro now as all you need is the software to basically run a bootstrap proggie before the nvidia display drivers initialize, that fools the drivers into believing you have a $2000 Quadro instead of $400 Geforce teh heh.
It's not gonna do sweet FA if you don't use your computer for 3D animation programs like MAYA and 3DS MAX as the Quadro is basically a fast Geforce with drivers that are heavily optimised for 3D Programs (not games).
ive got a shitty 2 year old geforce 2.....MX!
It suites the rest of my box too, p2 866, 256mb of ram and to top it off a fucked power supply (i have to run it with the case off or it overheats the whole box, summer is going to be fun).
I never touch any 3d modelling, or animation programs, i just wondering what the difference was.
