Ok, I feel that my latest trance tracks are really good. But as far as being innovative, I'm not so sure. For the most part I still follow the trance standard:
dj intro
first build up
first break short
second build up
second break long
dj outro
all with 4/4 between 135-142 bpm
I try to be creative within this realm though, but I just like to make songs that sound good to me. Stuff that I enjoy hearing. I feel that there is a lot of uncharted areas left remaining in the trance standards and anyone that disagrees needs to be more imaginative. Of course certain sounds begin to bore. The time of Ferry corsten Jp8000 arps coming out of classical melodies is almost over (thus the lackluster acceptance of Ligaya). But that doesn't mean the trance we all know and love is dead, it just means that, that one sound is dead.
Anyway, check out my song in a few weeks after it has been properly mastered.
Well um, I think my most original sounding tune would have to be: Boy trance - Forgotten Dream, which can be found on my mp3.com site (link is below on my sig)... um it'd be best for you guys to wait a few days or so until the remastered version is up though... if anyone thinks that I have another tune thats more original, lemme know...

re: i got trax!
I'd be willing to put up one or two of my tracks here. They're not too bad, but heh..it's the listenners' decision. My artist name is Fyrious, so if any of you see tracks roaming around under that name, either some1 else has stolen it, or my music has been leaked. I expect to have a CD's worth of music (about 10 to 14 trax) by February.
I'll put them up as soon as I get some decent webspace to host 'em. Any1 know where I can?

I'll be tough now, watch out...
enLounge - "no name yet"
Sweet. I like the 'crowd' thing. Maybe the form could use touching up.
Lightworks - Forever [4 eternity club mix]
Same opening bassline, same tempo, same key, same concept as "no name yet". See the problem?
Moondust - Pressure (original)
Hmmm...a bit empty overall. I like the unusual sounds. I don't hear a clear concept of harmony up until 3:00, then there's a nice major/minor thing. Decent dynamics.
Boy Trance - Forgotten Dream
Interesting stuff, but out of tune.
Moondust - Winter(Original Mix)
Still thinking that one over.
Not too bad but the limits can be pushed further. (Plus some extra music theory can go a long way.)
But don't let me be the only one here with the opinions. Anybody else have comments?

Dude, you'll have to be a lil more specific cause otherwise you're tellin me the whole tune is 'out of tune'. When I posted this a while a go out of all the responses I got, not ONE person mentioned anything about it being off key... I'm not tone deaf. Some chords of course are a lil delayed before they actually change, but that was done on purpose... and of course this isnt the final verison, im still waiting for that to be approved and up on the site... *sigh*
Why dont you check out my tune 'Shattered', I'm curious as to what you'd say about it...
