Well isn't this a controversial track! Haha
I will say that the melody follows a pattern that several other tracks have charted with in recent times. It may be so that it is similar to others, but they each made their respective authors plenty of money, so I wouldn't hate on it for that reason only. Look at Prydz for instance, he produced 'Call On Me' for a couple of studio compressors. He set up a record label off the back of it.
So down to the actual review & critique:
I don't think much of the melody but the instruments used to achieve it fit with the genre - you certainly can't fault that. However, the section I prefer is the arpeg that begins at roughly 0:33 and nicely complements the chord triplet motif. If you developed this a little further, maybe it would stand out from the tracks that others are complaining about. I can't say I enjoy the strings, they are a little too dry, but then I don't really like many samples of strings so maybe just ignore this. You could add more strings in to thicken them and it might also improve them, to my ear at least.
I would also say that you could increase the lengths of your reverb tails especially on your fill samples. The best example of this is at 1:04, when there are no high frequency harmonics to overpower it's tail and it becomes more obvious. I think your kick may be cutting slightly too much out of your mix. The bottom end sounds a little overpowering, on these headphones at least. (I have also been guilty of this, just listen to my old mix of Man with the Red Face that I never bothered retweaking )
At 2:16 there is a rising lead that I was half expecting to turn into a second melody which would have given some much-needed variation. Maybe an idea you could develop. Arrangement sounds good and, although this is not a genre I personally enjoy, I did appreciate listening to your track.
