MBDTF was his masterpiece, and Yeezus was the antithesis to it. Yeezus was rushed, influenced by Kanyes relationship with the public heavily, minimal compared to the production of MBDTF, and containing a subtle Dalek-like flavor challenging the pop rap he's so used to producing. Most people who say its Death Grips lite are stupid though, apples and oranges. So to put it simply, Yeezus is the opposite of what people thought he was going to release; it is an unfinished, unpolished, and flawed album, and people need to treat it as such. This doesn't make it a necessarily bad album, I for one enjoyed the rawness of it; I saw a different side of Kanye unlike his other "angry" pieces like Late Registration and College Dropout. It was undeserving of Pitchforks 9.5, and of Anthony Fantanos 5/10 (which is his pan score)

The people who said it sounded like chicago and acid house were idiots from Pitchfork who don't know the difference between ambient and garage rock. I sort of expected people on the site to hate Kanyes image, but for the people who actually listened to his albums would acknowledge his superb production and at least decent lyrics and flow. People shouldn't be complaining about his collabs with Daft Punk either, because Daft Punk sampled, or as most people would put it, "stole" songs from cherished electro boogie artists too, and sampling isn't fraudulent.
