Johh Askew definitely does better. 21 layered basslines, white noise over the whole spectrum, massive drops, big saw leads, formulaic sctructure, ultra-overcompressed, big electro saw leads etc...I suppose we should all convert to this real authentic trance sounds. Infact everybody are praising the originality and creativness of such music. All hail Jaun Paulino the alternative who opened our eyes.
You fucking deformed skull.

Ah, here we go with the mysterious businessman. I'm really curious. Enlight me please, what is that special activity you're leading?

No, I go crazy over pricks like you who are completely useless to life.

You think a 4/4 kick and, claps and hats are a huge thing when it comes to making trance, LOL. Speaking of baselines, Its just one Offbeat bass note you dumbass. He or I really don't use white noise at all. I only use them for build ups and crashes like who doesn't think thats effective. The structure is pretty damn basic when it comes to 4/4 trance you idiot. The only electro saw leads are the ones coming from your track in the first post. I said it before, you hear that in every asot episode. I'm still laughing of how serious you think this tune is. Another fact is that serenade is not even close to trance track of the decade you newblet.

Oh you poor deficient, you can't even comprehend what you read. You are more beautiful rather than smart.

Let me guide you through this you damn retarded muzzle: that part of my comment was refering to your underlining of a presumed distorted main lead in MIKE's track, as a criteria advanced by you which should discern good trance from bad trance. I was simply pointing out that such superficial element cannot be a measure to determine the value of a whole track. A production element entirely depending of the context, depending by the way it is applied in the picture of a track.

To break it down even more, so that your lame brain can absorb it: A distortion on a lead on its own cannot be enough to discredit the value of a production. It's a marginal element, as could be a hi hat, a clap etc.

And therefore, your comment doesn't make any fucking sense!

Damn, you fucking cretin.
The ultra uplifting modernish trance you're praising uses at least (in the most conservative case) 3 layers of basslines. High, mid and sub.
This should explain why you suck so badly at producing. You just don't get it, do you?
And I remind you to check your cognitive problems. Never talked about the amount of notes used, was talking about layers.

This track is an examplative of modern trance and what you glorify. Should I break down once again for you or you can find on your own why such trance is horrendous and the flag of cheese?

I suppose you're refering to the live @asot 600 you're idol made? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcry-B2FkTs

Damn, I'm so curious to find out what your brain considers to be better trance. John Askew vs Mike aka Plastic Boy, Push, Absolute and so on...should be interesting.

edit: And you forgot to reveal your valorous activity that makes you so special.

There are a lot of elements in that track that you find in typical a asot shows. Its not unique at all. Its not any different from previous tracks. There are a lot of reasons why the breakdown climax is so dull. I could go on and on.Mike also uses the same kick and clap in almost every track, it gets annoying after a while. The track is so retarded that it just repeats the intro onto the breakdown. Then you have a pointless ride cymbal at the end that does nothing for the track.

I rather listen to torture chamber then any track you post. Most of John tracks configure of several leads and one bassline you idiot. Thats what you didn't understand. Of course most of every different artist uses 3 baselines, but thats not typical Askew.

What it all boils down is a matter of taste. John Askew did things that haven't been done before, his type of kicks never existed in trance before him period.

Also, what makes me special, find out your self trance elevation.

This could be said for "Love Stimulation" as well if we were to follow your cockeyed logic, you opprobrium of the nature.
By the way, 'Love Stimulation' was played on asot as well, should this make it in automatic a bad track?
Your schematic way of thinking is what reveals you. People like you are the incarnation of what is known as a poser. You pick a side thinking that would make you cooler, but when you go a bit in detail you fall apart and hide behind generic sentences.

Damn, you should really teach something to that amateur Mike.
I invite people to check Juan Paulino's works in the WIP thread just for a good laugh and to understand from where those judgments come from.

It is better only in your twisted brain.
You always throw judgments left and right so try to back it up with some substance at least. If the trance you're listening to is so much better, share a bit of it. Are you afraid of someone enjoying it maybe?

Does he make trance? That's a news for me. And David Guetta is the new Francois Chabloz I suppose? Tell me how are his kicks special, I'm curious.

Ok, I found it: you're a mentally retarded being with deformed face and the look of a kicked dog. Your interventions consist of few words where you spit definitive judgments on topics you know shit about, but you act like you know something. Your ignorance is abyssal and proportional to the beauty of your face. You are ugly, dumb, with no personality and your existence is pointless and actually harmful for the rest.

That's definitely something special. I'd propose you to the scientific community as a guinea pig.

That sums it pretty much.

I take it there's some history going on here. Links to previous threads these two shared? I suspect it'll be just as amusing.

I can't really accuse him for the electro stuff he's been making lately to be honest. Yeah, we all know he can do better, but at that point of his career he should do whatever he wants. He gave a lot to the genre...
But the thing I definitely don't want is modern trance sounding like classic trance. The concept should be there of course, but the feel should be contemporary. Otherwise the whole idea of a "classic" is lost cause you won't have a reference anymore to discern and contextualize.

i agree with you about him giving alot to the genre
imo he is one of the godfathers of trance
he was ahead of his time but i dont agree how he is turning "push" "plastic boy" and all his older names into the newer sound
iam fine with him experimenting to a dif fan base
just dont ruin those alieses, those are what real trance stood for back in the day
