it is true, because it replaces & inhibits your body from producing natural moisturizer for your lips

it doesnt inhibit natural moisturizes. where your head at bro? If your hypothesis is true, then we should also assume that people who use cream moisturizers for their skin will stop producing natural skin oils? chapstick shouldnt affect negative feedback.
Ive use chapstick about once a day before i sleep, and i dont find any addition to it.

how the friggen hell do you become addicted to it?
the people who make chapstick dont make very much money off it anyways. its like a dollar for stick that lasts for like 2 or 3 months.

im fairly addicted to chapstick (of the softlips variety)
if i dont use it every few hours, my lips start feeling very dry, to the point where they semi-hurt and are uncomfortable. if i forget my chapstick one day and i go to school, and i realize it, it seems 5 times as bad and i cant wait to get home to use my chapstick :/

its not that it inhibits production, its just that with every bit of moisturization you get, there are chemicals in the the stuff that keep the dryness irritated. so if you use it once a day, youre cool.
its not a addiction in the drug sense. its just a habitual need cause the dryness never heals itself...late|
