Exactly what shockwav said but also the pcv 275 is made in china i think and the pmc-05 is made in japan. Thats why its more expensive and u know you'll get better parts with the pcm-05.

I have The PCV 175 and its incredible, from what I hear its very similar to the 275, actually , anybody know the specific differences?

The one major difference is that you cannot hear EQ changes in the headphones.
also, the 275 has some nice extras, like split cue, and a seperate level meter for the cued track, and two headphone outputs.

Read the specs pcv-275 sounds better than your 175 and come on it cost more than your 175 so you will get more options.
