started off a bit on the sour side.
came to the ferry and no one was giving out tickets. 5,10,20 minutes pass and still no one there. friend got pissed off and paid for all 6 of us again. this shouldn't happen. if they were taking a break, fine. we're all entitled to a break. however, have a backup person come and do the job. i'd really like to know why i paid for a ticket and couldn't get one in a timely manner.
otherwise, i thought this time around the party was a bit more packed than last time. still room to dance, but felt there were more people. also, was there more than 1 ATM there? only saw the one near the entrance... huge line up for that one. at least 30 min. would be nice to have more those like me who just spaced out and forgot cash. i would've loved to spend it on beer, but didn't. i'm sure there were a few that felt the same way.
music wise, good. GV was good in some places, and other times wasn't feeling it at all. way to hard for a sunset set. i understand he was supposed to close originally which would've been perfect for that sound. too bad he didn't adjust.
after GV stopped and HS82 started from scratch, the vibe just went out there air. this is one of the reasons i hate when DJs do that. what happened to mixing into the set and having the previous dj set you up? either way, first hour was a bit slower for me. and just as i was about to leave at 10, he played "At Night". LOVE LOVE LOVE this track as it's a classic, but it was put in such an odd place. it's like some other dj came on and dropped it.
as always friends make the day and this time around was no exception. although i have to say, the Canada Day party was way better. looking forward to see what's in store for Labour Day.
