also, mark, you don't trust other people to pick tunes for you?! no need to put yourself in an exclusion zone.

surely a tune that a fellow dance fan actually went out their way to recommend (edit: list! ) should be worth (at least) trying out, versus some other random tune you happen to come across by your lonesome?

pretty sure the majority of the tunes you try out, turn out to be complete shite, and of little interest to you... does that mean you don't trust yourself either?! even one in ten would be an impressive hit rate.

mix compliations have always been, by far and away, my preferred method of gleaning some great new tunes. it's the most fun, and most effective way, i find.

going to see klock on friday, so will check that one out!

My main method is to subscribe to artist and label alerts on Juno. I have about a 1000 of them configured to auto email me. I also check charts on juno for random picks. I also click on anything that has interessting cover art.

I trust this method more than most people on here. There's a few people that have similar taste to me. Everyone else I'm skeptical and dont want my daily music sampling time wasted.

Long story short, I liked a few of the picks in this thread. I found it noteworthy so I noted.
