Wow, you sound butthurt Tiesto. The word hypocrite comes to mind.

I wonder what he's going to play on his upcoming Essential Mix. His very first essential mix is still one of my favorites til this day. But I doubt it will be anything like that.

his very 1st e-mix is what an e-mix is all about...

its structured nicely, tells a story, hits on all genres

sadly most of today's e-mixes are all about whoring out one's songs, the label's songs and no structure...

Really interested to hear this. Its supposed to be an all deep house/tech house set.

it's been happening for some time now ... just look at the coachella lineup this year and last. tiesto's always been good about changing his style to match whatever is trendy at the time, and making the big bucks doing it.

I can see that being the trend. But I can also see being a shitty ass, commercial trend with horrible music.

When Electro first came out several years ago, it was fun! The music was good and non-cheesy. Then it became popular and every DJ started playing it along and nothing but shitty electro music was being produced.

If this Tiesto deep house thing is true, say good bye to deep house/techno.

Wonder what the next musical genre will be?

Nah, this is just Tiesto doing an "afterhours set", I don't see him making this is his current festival/vegas/megga club sound.

I could see big room hard techno getting big as a somewhat mainroom sound in the future as people get tired of car alarms and fart music, but deep house/techno/tech house will never work with the kids. Too slow and requires a lot of listening with no immediate payoff, something pop music has never had.

Blame Disclosure! HA! Jk

There's been a lot of discussion about Deep House on the Serato boards, so yes, it's coming. To what degree, I dunno but the Serato boards is usually a very good indicator of what's hot in the commercial world.

Tiesto already started the switch last year. He did a 2 hour Club Life special show and he started his own deep house show on Sirius XM. Plus, if it's any indicator of where he's trying to go, for what is worth, he played deep house at Create. He sucked at it, but he still played it.
