hey, thx for listening

AbsurD- the first time i posted the sample you didn't think it was cheesy though... well must be my bad hehe. uplifting trance is still alive i think. progressive trance has always been there as well, but more on the background (bonzai has lived for ages now in progressive trance). remember : no offence taken

quddha : i always make what i think sounds right, so... maybe that's a good thing?

dbl : thx mate, glad you liked it!

FuzzyGreen : well i do like it, i don't know if it's that emotional, but... my girlie thinks it is i don't know... perhaps it's a matter of taste this melody

thx for listening everyone,
take care,
Wim

well...bro... im not saying its bad, its awesome... quality work, and I like it, but i wouldnt spin it in the club... but...US is diff... u guyz like this stuff, but... its not for me anymore, if I hear ur production like 3 years ago, I would just flip out instantly... but not now...

BUT STILL! I never forget the music I used to listen to, and listen to it sometimes... but Im just into more serious stuff right now... =)))

don't worry bout it

it's just that the word 'cheesy' in english gets that awkward feeling... a bit like 'uninteresting' or 'not real trance music'. in our popular language we call it somewhat 'commercieel', what means something as cheesy, but more in a commercial way... and that has been done before, i agree

but i have to say that there's still an awful lot of producers still producing this kind of trance... because it's perhaps one of the easiest ways to get noticed i don't know

and don't worry about replying too much, it's welcome.
cheers,
Wim/LW

I'd have to disagree... I do not believe that melodic trance is the easiest to make. Writing an original GOOD melody cannot be done by just anyone... like myself, I'm a big melodic trance fan, but I only REALLY REALLY like on average a new or two a month these days out of the amount of tunes that are being produced... Breakbeats n such follow a blueprint basically, and you assort the beats the way they should be, and add some sounds, effects, etc.. and presto... i guess it's just a matter of personal opinion, but I can't respect any tiype of tune without melody. And making good melodic trance isn't easy my friend.

Mastered well as most of your tracks are but is pretty standard and generic, too boring imo.

You should spend some time making a really good melody rather than dishing out tracks every week.

As far as Airbase goes, I would disagree with your comment that his songs are all the same. He has a definite style just like Ferry does and Push does and you can recognize it immediately, but his tracks are definitely not "all the same".

Melodies dont take long to make but a good one does.

It's ALWAYS(!) hard to make something GOOD(!) no matter what genre! Period!

Now...

Just had a listen to it!
Intro is okey , the break started out good, but I think u should make the filterning of the synth a bit longer , and when the whole tune starts after the break if just feels abit empty , I was expecting something more powerfull, maybe more percussions would do the trick.

I dig the melody tho , like the chord changes!

I liked the remix u posted last week more then this! that track was the bomb!!!!
