well i got this to work in albino 3 with velocity sensitivity controlling mod matrix depth thats controlling one of the osc pitch envelopes, probably more trouble than it's worth but it did work

Ableton allows you to draw pitch your notes up in the piano roll. Switch over to waveform view and select one of the 100's of editable options and draw your envelope.

In logic, the instrument would be omni and then the note , assign a different channel. Apply pitch info to that channel. Logic is the worst daw for midi so if it that easy in logic, pretty sure it is easy as pie with anything else.
there are samplers out there that let have a pitch wheel.
