A 12" inch will outperform a 10" for sure when it comes to volume and 'depth' of the bass. What i was trying to say was that given my sitaution....wieght, money and value in mind, the 10" bandpass proved to satisfy all requirements! ...a sealed or poerted box would definately sound good, however....i'd have to go with a custom enclosure....and once you do that, there are chances it wont sound as good.
I drive a97 Prelude Type-S/SH (yes both), and being a sports coupe, trunks space is limited. I chose to retain as much trunk space as possible 'cuz i use it as a locker when im @ school The car weighs in just above 3000lbs and....its a serious factor when your a car nut like me. Fortunately....the 10" bandpass doesnt weight a ton and fits perfectly where i wanted it to in the trunk.
