WELL WELL WELL... what can I say... I was going into this night not knowing Picotto that well... I heard some good and not so good things about him... so, I went in there with a judgement of him... but!! by the end of the night, it was clear what I thought of the one and only Lizard Man... Jesus Christ, he layed down some crazy beats that were so relentless... I never take anything when I go out (drugs)... and I usually am tired half way through the night... Last night, I didn’t stop; I was going crazy, dancing like mad... I got tired 30 mins before the end but that’s a given... and on top!!! THEY HAD NO RED BULL!!! and that’s usually my boost, my kick in the ass, my "speed"... I don't know how I managed it...

Anyways, since I didn’t really know the guy, I didn’t know the tracks... but let me tell you, the guy has kickass track selection... although I don’t think he is the best DJ (in the top 10 for me), he also has a strange way of DJing... what I found really cool, is that he brings in his beats late, pumps the crowd, and then BOOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!! Most DJs bring in the beats at 4, he waits sometimes till 8 and even up to 16 (DJ talk, I don’t know if you understand, anyways)... and then I was expecting him to relax a bit, around the end, but the guy never let us relax... and if it didn’t happen, I don’t understand how anyone didn’t get a heart attack, or a stroke... he was that mental... NOW YOU GUYS ALL KNOW WHY I AM A TECHNOFREAK

As usual I hooked up with all you TAs, especially Malek, Taha, Mazen, grostrance, Jean-Fred (you kick ass), Le Castrateur, and I can't remember who else, all you TAs are part of a special group, you guys are all my brothers... especially the ones I mentioned... I also meet a couple Toronto TAs like Tatgirl and Durafei (you are the coolest... I'm really happy I met you... we will definitely have to hook up when I go down to TO on the 25th... I'll pm you, or add me to your MSN list, we'll chat) and his girlfriend...

Anyways, what a night indeed, and what a weekend, Mauro and Ferry... you can't ask for more... Thank you so much biggy, for the thrills that you have given me, Aria has no equal, and I'm proud to be an Aria regular... All those that missed this show bite themselves, SHAME ON YOU!!!

Anyways, what a night... I have had a huge smile on my face since 8:30 am this morning, and I don't think it'll go away for a while...

hmm i had to leave at around 6:30.. so i dont know how much longer he spun but i have to say i had a great time. Nice to see you again fast.. nice meeting you grostrance, technofreak and tatgirl.. haha gotta love that plate. I liked picotto's set but I found he could have thrown in alot more techno beats. I found his set at swirl alot harder but i could have been remembering things. It just seemed to me he had more of a tech-house/trance sound and not the hard techno i was expecting. Either way it was a blast. Once again he had the crowd in the palm of his hand, playing with them like puppets. Very talented dj.

I just couldnt believe how crowded the place was too. I am very happy for you biggy that the night turned out to be a success, however i can't possibly see how people didnt find it too hot. It was SO hot in the main room i couldnt dance for more than 10 or 15 minutes without sweating perfusely.

And I went upstairs to see diesleboy and i must say i dont know what to think. It was my first experience with drum n bass so i really cant compare it with anything. And for the most part i like it.. at least i like the drum n bass part of it. Not the 3 minutes of bland melodies in between every beat session. Why does he have this.. It's so boring and evry one just stands there waiting for the beats. And on a side note i really dont get mcing and live rapping as an art.. I really cant understand a word they are shouting. And so i cant possibly see someone saying they prefer one over the other.

Anyway all in all great night.. Oh and btw there was redbull at the stand opposite the dj booth right behing the speakers.

Just got back home(yeah, it's 9PM)..

Night(and our trip back home) was ABSOLUTELY crazy.. Will write more later, as I haven't slept in like 40 hours !

Haha.. It was great to meet you too man! Hopefully we'll party sometime soon! That wasn't my girlfriend though, that was Caryn(Rubyriva, TA who came over all the way from Syracuse for this !! ) She's awesome !

im about about 6 feet slender.. dressed in white shirt and pants.. and except for the frizzy hair incredibly good looking. I met you when you were standing by the gate with fast grostrance and tatgirl

Just a quick note b4 I go to bed, since I have only had 3 hrs sleep in the last 2.5 days, and our ride back took 12 hrs due to an unexpected event that changed the course of our day (and we WILL post a thread on that soon!).

My 1st time to Aria was great. Mauro kicked ass (would u expect anything less?). Good to meet some Montreal TA's- you were very hospitable. The TA community rocks- give yourself a hug!

In dire need of sleep. Will post more later. Not looking forward to work tomorrow...
