The rave scene is cool, but the 2am rule sucks, but I guess we're making the best of it. Occasionally, we hit a 6am rave though. Some excellent local talent, like DJ D make for a great night out.

The club scene is, um.... I have no idea. I never went clubbing after people tell me how raves are much more fun, because people at clubs tend to have this attitude to them.

Bristol.

2000 was a big year with the brand new club "The Rock" securing Nick Warren's residency and any top DJ u can think of has spinned in this massive new place every Friday, which Ministry mag claimed has the exact sound system installed in Twilo.

terrible news this week though is that Nick Warren ended his residency and the terrible Dave Pearce is taking over!!

if so, all i can say is that the year 2000 was a MASSIVE one!

but the great DJs will continue to come in every Friday.
All the way!
plus.. I can always be found in London by accident

Was a total dead spot....

Until...

The club Giant opened up last year...(Run by the same people who put on Spundae up in San Francisco)..since then, we've been quite spoiled. Sure, there was always the raves and stuff and admittedly, they drew great talent but a lot of the 'wrong' element as well. Aside from that, it's getting more and more difficult to get venues for all night parties anymore. However, Giant gets some really good talent spinning and the vibe there is usually pretty good. For the last three weeks, we've had Seb Fontaine, Judge Jules and Pete Tong spin....

Giant also knows how to throw some wicked parties. The New Years Party was simply awesome. Paul Van Dyk spun and it was simply an awesome experience.

Aside from the Giant club, we also have some pretty bitchen DJ's stop by in town. Oakenfold stopped by a whilst back, Tiesto was here last week...and John Digweed will be here this week....

But all of this has a catch though....most of these clubs and parties are limited to those who are over 21....which may be a good or a bad thing...depends on you.

Satan (eek!) making the scene

Being in Toronto during the school year is huge, amazing party scene, this year I saw PVD, Tiesto, Christopher Lawrence, Diggers (Montreal), and Graham (Ottawa). I can't bitch very content in Toronto.

However during the summer I'm up in Northern Ontario, no scene at all. So, I'm changing that. A few friends of mine (who also spin trance) are putting on a rave down here, gonna be exciting. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

literally at this point, in trance we trust. heh

Living in a city like Toronto is a privelage. The party scene here is amazing to say the least. Tons of local dj talent: St. Pete, 0S/2, Dr.Trance, The Prophecy just to name the few.The clubs here a shit. Too much house & hip hop and not enough trance. The gino and camper invasion killed the club scene in the T-DOT.

There are clubs around here but they're pretty much cheese. So I'd have to say it's basically non-existant.

Israel - Psytrance and Goa Trance scene...

Well, I live in Israel, a country that produced Astral Projection, DJ Ella Gutman, Yahel, DJ Eyal Barkan, Holymen and more (by the way, i'm going to be on that list soon...).

Anyway, there is a scene here, no matter where you are in Israel, you can drive up to 1.5 hours and you get to a place where all the greatest DJ's come to have some fun like Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, DJ Rene, DJ Tiesto, SUN Project, Sunbeam, DJ Remy, Ballroom, Paul Van Dyke, Hallucinogen - Simon Posford, XDream and many many MANY more.

As a DJ in Israel, I guarentee you that if you come to a rave party in israel, you won't leave it without a smile and a good feeling (and maybe with a chick you've just met there, hehehe )

The people in Israel are built for those raves and parties!!

Come to Israel and find out
