well, the EQ on the vestax is very good. Some people complain that there is not enough room between the EQ knobs though. It doesn't bother me much, especially because i have the mixer at a slight angle. if you have big hands, it might bug you though.
another thing I have noticed in the difference between the actual EQ ranges is that, the bass on the vestax effects the song a lot more than on the DJMs, ie. the frequency is wider.
so, when you turn down the bass, you take a lot out of the song. likewise, when you turn up the bass it gets a lot louder.
it's not that bad, but it's noticeable.
also, it's not painted, don't worry about chipping.
and it has pans on each channel, something the DJM does not have.
plus kill switches for each EQ, on channels 1 and 3, DJM also doesn't have that.
and most importantly, note, the PCV 275 is way better than the 175, for one key reason, on the 175 you can't hear the EQ changes in the headphones. |
the pots being close 2gether annoy the shit outta me. vestax mid eq sucks arse, and u have pan effects on the DJM which counteracts the individual channel function. and it does suck are not hearin the eq on the 175, but u get used 2 it and it has made me learn my tunes inside out which is a good and bad thing. i still say go pioneer
