This is from a 2004 TA meetup before their first show in Toronto.

Dave received a lot of flak from the people in the c0r (and MD) and things just turned ugly after a while... Remember, before Twitter trolls there were TA trolls.. and as we know, pack mentality can turn things ugly. Dave eventually left TA because of it (don't blame him). I hadn't talked to him since soon after that trolling happened but I spoke with him a show here earlier in the year and he was super cool.

I seem to have completely missed the hoopla about them around these parts back in the day

They had a run in the early to mid 2000s where they put out hit after hit, particularly on the remix side. They were my favorite djs back in the day. Each of their tracks were unique with different sounds. You don't get that with producers today. The producers stick to one token sound for the most part.

There was/is a large number of TA's that wish they could produce or taste success the same way he did to a degree, and would shell out is any exploitable way on a forum. That and from what I remember there was some luls.
