Lol, regarding groove
The cirklon took me away from lineair left to right songwriting arranging

Do this:
Put all 16 baar loops underneath eachother in a 16 bar loop
Build your song by play that loop abd just muting/unmuting channels
You'll find the vibe that you can listen to endlessly, THAT's the peak of your song
Bin the rest, abd build your song now by laying out the combi's that worked

if you design sounds that evolve over a long period of time it helps retain the listeners attention without having to add a bunch of new shit, and every new sound should actually serve a purpose and stand on it's own, so no unnecessary filler to compensate for poor decisions. And you only have to keep it interesting for like ~5 minutes, when you're writing and listening to the same thing over and over you're likely to get bored with it especially with mnml

This thread was made for me!
Yes I suffer with this issue time and again.

I like the points above regards having the confidence to be satisfied and not keep adding shit.

Really good techno makes a deep connection with me in terms of groove in a way nothing else does.

I'm starting to realize that I'm very set in my ways when it comes to song building and structure. Definitely something I need to break away from.

Shit analogy

I didn't say stop doing what you're doing, I meant (although didn't actually say......) do it another way.

No, it was exactly that.

Do you really think "do it another way" is in any way helpful? If I could just do that, why would I even had started a thread?

I dunno, maybe you're too stupid to think of another way.

Calm the fuck down net warrior

I'm looking for a discussion, not juvenile attempts at insults.

Please go find some other thread to play in.

Compose from a top down approach instead.

Have your 8 bar pattern with everything in. Then compose by finding ways to basically make those elements have a genesis and way to become how they are in the main pattern.

Also step away from the daw.

Maybe try focusing your "complexifying" tendencies toward engineering rather than composition, like effects or adding new layers to the sounds you already have.

Thank you Mr.Obvious.

What's really curious about you is you're ability to the deliver the most predictable and basic shit in a shiny wrapping!

Really, what Mr.Mystery needs is an advice that opens his eyes and changes his way of approaching things.

So my advice would be....

Are you ready...

It's coming......

Listen to minimal.
