Defanitly agree with this one

quote:
Second of all, you cannot rehab psychopaths which feel no remorse, so what lock them up until you can let them out. Like you can release richard ramirez into society, the man cannot be rehabed, cannot function in society

I disagree with this statement for a number of reasons. First of all Ramirez shouldnt be let out of prison. But with counsiling and possibly medication, a lot of the phsycopaths probably could function relativly well in society. My freinds uncle, served 10 years for attempted manslaughter. During that time he got his life together, he's not on crack anymore, he's delt with his personal demons, and he's on the right medicines. I didnt know him before that ordeal, but now he's like a second father to me. He's nice, smart, compasionate, and a big part of our community.

i havent heard of any psychopaths doing anything good for society in general after rehab. Most of the time, they either end up killing more ppl or cost taxpayers more money and by that time, fingers are pointing at whos to blame.

A good sentence would be to force the criminal to listen to Britney Spears 24/7 until he/she explodes

Bottom line:

1. It's been proven that the threat of the death penalty does not deter murderers.

2. Innocent people have and will continue to die by capital punishment (as Arbiter mentioned).

3. Killing the murderer doesn't bring back the victim, nor does it make the family feel better.

here I go.

what the fuck is the point of having some crazy ass idiot who kills people for fun sit in jail,on money that we pay? what point? what is the purpose of his life. to rot away in jail? No.

Ever hear of overpopulation?
it sucks.
can barely find a parking space anymore.
Kill the bad people.

and actually. it does help the victims family.
its called justice. and knowing that their loved ones killer is dead.. gives them the feeling that they are safe, and that the killer isnt still alive and they dont have to think about him anymore.

You guys need to rethink your philosophy
Bad guys = dead = better society = less people = more parking spaces = less assholes to steal girls = more hot girls available.

Hoooray for the death penalty

FYI the cost of putting someone to death is SIGNIFICANTLY more than it costs to put someone in jail for life. It may seem ridiculous but it's true given the costs of legal fees. Most death row inmates live 6-10 years before executed during which they have many many appeals. Thus the cost of actually killing someone is several million whereas it's under a million to keep someone in jail for life.

However I still think that there should be a death penalty. Why? Well first of all there are some crimes far too henious to allow that person to live. Their mere presence on Earth pollutes it. Would you allow Hitler to live? After killing 6+ million innocent people would you allow him to enjoy the smallest shred pleasure he may gain from living the duration of his life? How about pedophile murderers? Would you let them remember back and relish in the crimes they committed before being caught? I bet those fucks that aren't put to death spend every night thinking back to their crimes, jacking off. Also some prisoners stand the chance of being "institutionlized" where they get so used to prison life that they like it. Kinda like Shawshank Redemtion if you saw the movie.

Who benefits if they live? Nobody. At least if they're dead the family gains some closure and society benefits from the fact that they will never walk free again. Why put them out of their "misery" as you so describe posh jaillife nowadays? Well, if you believe in God they will go to a place where they will experience pain far greather than we could imagine. If you don't believe in God then we simply rid society of their foul presence and they are simply reduced to nothingness. I would say that even being miserable in life is preferable to being nothing at all.

So in conclusion, if you're sure that it's your guy, hell yea fry the fu*kers.

why should our tax money have to pay for someone like that? I think they should either kill them or make them slaves or something like that and like someone else said have a good beating on their birthday, but hey thats just me

all i have to say is that to me a death penalty is somewhat equivalent to euthanasia and im strongly opposed to the latter...therefore

this is a very common fallacy.
it is like saying a man having sex with his wife is the same as a man raping a random woman. the two actions are the same but they are two very different motives. another example is when a police kills a criminal in the line of duty compared to a sniper killing a random person. those are the same actions but there done for different purposes!
