i wish i could afford UAD products but they're too expensive, so a little over a year ago i dove head-first into Acustica Nebula. i did a lot of reading, watching a couple video tutorial series and got a decent number of libraries for it. it's a CPU hog but it's really impressive IMO, the best software emulations i've ever used.
since i don't have UAD hardware i've never had the pleasure of using any UAD plugins. based on what i read, it's pretty comparable to Nebula which is saying a lot. but you have the added bonuses of the UAD hardware doing the processing so it's not CPU intensive to your computer like Nebula. then the most important benefit to UAD over Nebula IMO is that UAD looks like it has a much better user interface than Nebula. that's based on YouTube videos and screenshots since i've never used UAD before.
is there anyone here that's a UAD user that has used Nebula too? i mean somebody that really spent the time to learn Nebula and try multiple libraries... because Nebula requires dedication to reading each library's documentation so you know how to use it properly and also each library sounds different. i really like the AlexB and CDSoundMaster libraries for Nebula.
