Yeah, I did try it once a few months ago and it was actually pretty cool. But I also tend to find things making fun of it hilarious.

The video reminded me of a time we played Wii Fit drunk with my friend when he was still living at his parents. We got the idea quite late at night, and his parents were already asleep, so of course we tried to keep quiet. The only sounds coming from the room were pretty much something like in that video. His dad opened the door at some point and let out a sigh of relief seeing us doing weird yoga push-ups drunk. He said he had been listening outside the room for some time trying to decide if he should open the door and potentially reveal something unwanted to himself about his son.

have been pretty sceptical from a gaming perspective; most titles seem to be more proof of concept than good games in their own right. however, the technology has obvious applications in racing and space sims (two of my fave genres) so figured i would probably get around to buying a headset eventually.

but, fuck a duck. i just finished resident evil 7 which had me shitting my pants most of the way through. i can't imagine how fuckin awful it might've been in VR. so, looks like im picking that headset up sooner rather than later.

i own the rift, got it when they had their summer sale. friend owns the htc vive

tbh the tech is still in its infancy. the promise for it to be super next level is there though.

when they get the resolution up and graphics hardware can support such insane DPIs you'll really see shit like ready player one happening, its not far off.

right now though theres a lot of proof of concept games rather than full titles. i own a gang of apps and theres only a few handful that i actually enjoy

platformers are wicked cool though, totally adds a whole new depth to the game genre.
