You can change what appears on your page (short lists, large images, longer lists, no images, 5 images, back to 8, whatever) in your settings. Unfortunately, you can't change what appears on everyone else's pages.... and the default is indeed, shorter lists, 5 images, etc.
What I dislike about the new layout is that I'm unable to go to another user's library and sort artists alphabetically.
