Ummm, no clue. Hoover's slogan in 1928 was "A chicken in every pot, a car in every garage". He had the unfortunate luck of being president during the 1929 stock market crash. In 1932 he ran against Franklin D. Roosevelt and lost. FDR's policies in 1932 were called The New Deal, but I haven't the slightest on what Hoover's were called.

Ummmm, you mean FDR's policies, the New Deal. Hoover ran on a platform stating that government non-intervention in business, or lassiez faire, would eventually lead the American economy out of the Depression. Hoover lost badly because many thought he was a "do-nothing" president.

Quizes don't generally work when the tester doesn't have a firm grip on the subject matter. :-P

NO dude I ment Hoover's policies during the elections.....

the policies were known as: a chicken in every pot
a car in every garage

people didn't believe in the promised self - reliance ideas

they trusted the new deal of FDR

What is the actual point of this thread? Or are you just some Dutch kid who took an American history class and wants to flex his new found knowledge?
