I think what they're trying to figure out is how deep did this go.

At first glance it looked like another couple of nutters going on a killing spree but then the ISIS link became apparent and now it seems to be is a little bit of both.

It looks like they went postal as it wasn't anywhere near as coordinated or as efficiently planned as the paris or London attacks, but then they found wifely pledged to ISIS a week before and there had been several accounts of meetings with arabic men that became more and more frequent leading up to the event, and it's been confirmed that these men were already under FBI surveillance for terrorist links.

So basically, the killers were going to do something but it seems a little impulsive and as if they just snapped one day (a common report about the hubby was that he worked there and stormed out of a meeting, returning 20 mins later to shoot it up).

I don't get how the brother in law who purchased two of the guns and admitted to making pipe bombs and a prior plan to commit a terrorist attack has not been arrested? Just 'voluntarily' giving info to FBI. WTF?

He won't get away with it. I assume charges haven't officially been brought against him just yet since the FBI is still continuing with their investigation.
