It's snowmageddon here in the good ole Southeastern US. We got one of the better snows we've had in a few winters. Drank too much and played Phase 10 with the neighbors last night. The 30mph wind gusts arrive today, so aside from a few trips to the wood shed to reload the stove and take the doggies out to pee, not much be happening.

It's graduation on Monday, so lots of old friends are in town, as is my mother. A fun balancing act, going out with them at night and not being too hungover to spend the day with her. Also need to fill out some boring but vital visa-renewal paperwork.

It took me a total of 2 hours to get bored of Mt. St. Louis and 3 hours to get bored of Horseshow. Honestly I'd take the trip to Tremblant, but, if you're just getting started, both those hills in the Toronto area aren't too bad for beginners.

Nah not a beginner. Haven't skied in years, but I used to race. Was born out west and both parents were instructors, on the ski patrol, and racing coaches.

I have thought to myself many times how great it'd be to just pack up my car and spend the day at Blue. I have tons of friends in Collingwood too. I miss the culture for sure.

I've never gone to the slopes but I feel like I would love to shred through off trails with trees and shit on a snowboard. But I do hate snow after a day or two.

That sounds really nice. I just knocked the snow off all the cars and made a beer run for some Sweetwater Brewing Co. 420 IPA. There was little or no blacktop to be seen.
