as for being 'programmed' by propaganda, doesn't that happen in the US, and almost everywhere else to a certain extent. |
i never said there wasn't propaganda in the US, but the "propaganda" over here is FARRRR different from the propaganda in the middle east and even the terrorist groups in the far east...
our propaganda is mostly focusing on OUR country's positivities, patriotism, etc... we are not told that "arabs are evil" (much like how the middle east teaches their residents that "americans are evil".... we do not promote a "jihad", we do not say "go out and kill arabs".... matter of fact, we give the ones here refuge... I have seen some of the propaganda from over there (when i was over there), and you'd be surprised the likeness of their anti-US advertising campaign to hitler's anti-semetic campaign of the 30's and 40's. Their propaganda is designed to teach hatred of ALL americans - even women and children, as they see we are all products of the devil...
You have any idea of how amazed they are when they see a FEMALE staff sergeant barking orders at a MALE airman, and she is NOT covering her face, and she is making her own decisions.... they think we are products of hell man! Instead of being mature enough to realize cultural differences, they think we need to be slaughtered (or at least this is what their propaganda propagates...)
and as far as the US indirectly harming the average citizen of the middle east based on trade restrictions, this is really hairy... you can't fairly say that we just "butted in" and created all these restrictions for no reason... shit's been brewing over there for thousands of years... for some reason, anyone who lives in that area feels compelled to attack another area... with the intention of expanding their "land" or to pillage.... the US does not do this, we don't attack other countries for land or to pilfer... (don't tell any native americans i said that )
i dont know... hairy subject. moving on...
