Yeah, so I'm not too well versed on this sound. I think around that time I was already staring to discover classics and more techy and deeper shit, but I remember I was listening to a lot jay west, and danny howells sets at one point. I think if you check out some of his sets from that time you can discover a lot of stuff, same for mark farina, fred everything, people like that. Listening back it wasn't terrible for me at the time, a little too cheesy for me now.
When I first opened this thread I thought it was gonna be more about modern candy, UK style garage/house à la Disclosure , that shit I like. Too bad that sound has been corrupted by the EDM kiddies because that stuff was fire and still play it.
^^ not sure how tribal house related to what op asked for, from the first thread samples imo it sounds like the typical Anjunadeep sounds that they picked up in between 2008 - 2010, you can found tons of those sounds in every desyn / luke fair set during those years, before everyone went total disco, or better just look for lucid's thread for who's bringing the funk here on ta
Sorry it was for scoops he and I grew up in the same place + here i'l get rid of them.

salute to everyone that posted a track, i really enjoy anything with a vibe and textures along with a chill mood....
definitely still love disclosure kenny , but especially when they first hit the scene i think i first heard tensnake pumping their tunes out a lot around 2012
however yeah its been ridden with too many people trying to mimmic that sound, which usually happens when something fresh arrives
even though it wasn't ..just uk garage with a new twist
oh and big props to miguel migs .....before the internet took off, regional sounds was a thing ...and he was one of the inhabitants of the laidback san fransisco scene along with om records, defected, and a few others
