ok let's make some things clear....the game is graphicsheavy indeed but when they release the full game you will get a higher fps and it will run more stable.....why?

simply because the 3d engine isn't even finished....leaks and stuff and the lighting is'n tweaked at all....

in fact the quake3 alpha had the exact same issuses....people were running it on their 500 mhz comps and got like 30-40 fps....and now you can easily tweak it to run att 140 fps on a 500


so don't be to worried that it won't run on your comp when it's released......afdter all it's just an Alpha

To clarify for the people that don't read the beginnings of threads...
This is not a Doom 3 demo/test freely available for download just anywhere.
It is the version of Doom 3 shown at E3 in June of this year, leaked by an employee of ATI.

but anyway I tested the alpha on my own computer today.....damn.....damn....DAMN....so beautiful....and the physics...already in the alpha it beats everygame released up to date....that's kind of ownage

MSI Kx7-333 M/board (running @ 145Mhz FSB)
256Mb DDR333
Gefore 4 ti4200 128Mb (running about 30% faster)

if so, what kind of performance did you get?

you'll get about 15 fps in the alpha.
