i think i would classify yoji as more hardhouse/nrg more than hardtrance, but can work either way depending on your point of view.

when i hear hardtrance though, names like scot project and kai tracid come to mind. scot project sounds more hardstyle-ish than tracid, but again, works either way.

who else is following this change? am i the only one?

i hate the uk hard trance, it is actually a form of hard house, i think people refer to it as hard dance over here now.... but either way i think it is the tackiest load of crap around at the moment... the uk producers are trying to imitate what is german, but they just cant get it right!!.why?... because the germans put more effort into their tunes, and make them into a story, or a journey.... there not many uk tracks on the market atm that you can say that about.... you can even tell which productions are uk and which are german, just by listening toi them (without seeing the name).
Very few uk artists seem to be able to get it right, altough lee haslam did a good job with "music is the drug"... tidy2 is the label which is churning out most of the crap atm, in my opinion.
i reckon the uk HH producers should have stuck to doing ACTUL hard house instead fo making this trancey hardhouse style up?.... i mean whats the point in going to competition with the germans?.... leave them to it i say, especially if uk sux at hard trance.
Just a slight correlation i noticed here........ last year- hard house was enormous... this year - sundissential is about the only hard house club i could name you thats still open, the rest are either closed down, or so small time that you dont even hear of them anymore.

lady dana - bring me your silence
derb - derb <<<<<< still rocks!
bend over - was die zukunft bringt (marc jerome mix)<< wierd, but i like.
oliver klitzing - i like that beat (kaylab mix)
oliver klitzing - i like that beat (reeloop mix)
angel of death - everything (play on +8)

just a few for you there

Mmmmm Hard Trance MMMmmmmmmm
I personally like all types of trance, I once read on a biases site that "a good trance DJ can blend all styles of trance" i must agree that sets that venture all over can be wicked fun heh. But hard is deffinently one of the things im always blaring heh. Scott Project n Dumonde own me!

harddance, yes. and it works wondering for moving a crowd.. all the tracks are pretty much unplayed here... and if you play the good ones, it seems to get the crowd very frenzied.

yes, the germans started hardtrance, but for some reason it's just not my thing... the hardhouse style is my thing, but i've always loved trance so the blend is good to me.

I like the whole hard dance thing, but some of is shit like [N]ûk|êû[Z] sed, and this tends to be the stuff that does just sound like hard house with synths. I'm not that keen on hardstyle, out of the definitions dumondetrancer listed over the past couple of months I've really got into 2 and 3, and there the main sorts of things on my playlists. With regard to "Hard Dance" if it's done properly, it sounds good, i.e (IMO) :-

James Lawson & Carl Nicholson - Times like These
Mark Richardson - Lets Get Evil & also Neptune
All the Riot Brothers releases
Psyclone - Good Side (Guyver Remix)
and some of the Organ Donors stuff like Locked Tight, In Power and they're remix of Back To Cali.
