thats the intel bundles, cpu, mobo, and cooler. so i need the best bundle (with best mobo, looking around a 2 gig hrtz) and a case with psu, if anyone wants to comment. thanks for all ur help upto now

I'd get more then 256MB ram. Reason being, it won't cost that much and it will help you in the longrun. Just a word of advice, don't run Windows 98SE or Windows XP if you plan on putting in alot of ram. They have poor memory managers. Get 2k!

Personally coup, I'd have another 256mb of ram, simply cos u want something thats not gonna need upgrading in the near future, and it's always better to have more imo
